What Asset Can be Managed, Monitored and Tracked
The list of different types of equipment, and assets is extensive – almost anything can be managed using an Asset tracker.
If you need to know what is happening to your asset or where it is or what its condition is then you will be able to use a GPS device hardware to monitor and report on this live 24/7.
Most commonly tracked and monitored are assets such as trailers and shipping containers using a standalone battery powered GPS tracker that reports the location 1 or 2 times per day.
Other Asset such as generators, pumps, skip bins, traffic equipment and almost any asset you value and wish to know where it is including safeguarding from theft.
These devices are low cost to purchase and to run, easy to install, simply mount to the asset using bolts. Depending on the unit and the number of location messages per day needed, batteries will last up to 7 years (1 message per day).
If you need more comprehensive monitoring of an asset of more than just location reporting we have standalone trackers that can actively track when the asset is in motion. This will impact on the battery life.
If you are a transport operation and use subcontractors, this may be a good option for you! Subcontractors trucks don’t need to have a tracker installed as you can track the trailer instead. Often it is not practical to have subcontractors with trackers installed. With this option even if they are not tracked you will still know where your consignments, trailers or shipping containers are.
If you want to specifically track your subcontractors why not check out our WiaTag mobile tracking app. Simply download this to their mobile instead of installing a tracker in their truck. Low cost and fast to implement.
Need something more comprehensive and more than just location? FleetPursuit have advanced standalone trackers, this includes both battery and solar devices that have the capability to add sensors and BLE Beacon tags to manage and monitor whatever you may need.
